Exercising is still possible at the Pool if paralysed

Jim enjoyed his active life of cycling and tramping, knowing that particularly as he grows older, how important it is to remain mobile.

After a devastating cycling accident in Dunedin, he has now found himself confined to a wheel chair. After a long hospital stay Jim has moved into a rehabilitation programme which led him to the Dunedin Physio Pool. This unique facility with its warm water, easy access, large, wheel chair friendly changing rooms and hoist into the pool has enabled Jim to continue to exercise. Something he has found invaluable not only for the physical aspect but also importantly for his mental well-being.
